I slept well, especially thanks to the comfortable bed and pillows, and breakfast was pretty good with fresh fruit. Staff were good, and there were cookies waiting when I arrived. The room was clean, with tea and coffee provided, and I liked having a bath. The TV was on the small side but worked well. There are plenty of food choices if you don’t eat at the hotel, including a nearby Portuguese restaurant I’d recommend. A nice, brief overnight stay.

Service was great and the staff were wonderful. We had dinner at the on-site restaurant because it was pouring outside and there wasn’t much around anyway. The fish and chips were excellent: the beer-battered fillet wasn’t greasy, was nicely fried, and had no fishy taste or smell. The ribeye was grilled to a perfect medium rare. It wasn’t the cheapest meal, but it was worth it. Our Standard King room was fine for one night before an early flight. It had an espresso machine but no fridge. Breakfast buffet was awesome, with lots of choices, and the dining area was well kept.

The room was fine for catching a night’s sleep, but it badly needs maintenance. When I arrived, the slot for the key card that turns on the lights was falling apart, though I could still slide my card in and get the lights working. It was clean enough for a quick overnight stop after British airways ruined my day. I can’t comment on the service since I didn’t receive any.

The room was always in great shape when we got back each evening. Our schedule made it hard for housekeeping to get in, but they managed it every time, and I was really pleased with the care they took. There was a slow-draining sink, which someone fixed quickly. The front desk team were cheerful and helpful, and the food and bar had a good, wide selection. I'll stay here again.
