The staff were fantastic from the moment I arrived, and the app made everything easy to access and understand. I spent two weeks here and absolutely loved it. There's a cute little cafe in the lobby with an excellent breakfast, which was a lifesaver after a 25-hour journey. The location is great too, within walking distance of Queensway and Paddington station. I'd absolutely recommend it.

The bed and duvet were comfortable, and I slept well. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of hot food, pastries, and cereals, plus self-service hot and cold drinks. The dining room decor, like some of the rest of the building, looked a bit tired. This is a budget hotel about a 10-minute walk from Paddington Station and close to Hyde Park. Check-in was a little difficult because the receptionist's English wasn't fully clear to me. The room was basic, which is fair for the price, but the laminate floor was badly fitted and the furniture looked worn. The ensuite was finished to a better standard. The air conditioning showed an error when I arrived. I asked reception about it and was told the hotel's air conditioning didn't work, but they pointed out the ceiling-fan switch. With the high ceiling, I could barely feel the fan. There's a pool and sauna, though calling it a spa seems like a stretch, and there are no lockers to secure your things. The good points outweigh the bad, and if you can live with the downsides, it's a decent budget stay in London. The building could use some care, and then the hotel might score higher.

The building is old, so the walls are thin and the floors creak. Unfortunately, that disturbed my sleep, though it wouldn't stop me booking again or recommending it to a friend. The room was very clean and well presented, comfortable rather than luxurious, and had everything I needed, including complimentary drinks and toiletries. Hyde Park is barely a two-minute walk away, and several Tube stations are less than five minutes on foot.

We really enjoyed the pool, and breakfast had lots of options. The hotel was clean and nice, with a good location and an affordable price. The main disappointment was the sauna, which wasn't working. My boyfriend had really been looking forward to it, since we're both Finnish but live in the UK. The room was okay, but its shape left nowhere to open a suitcase. We'd booked one room for one night and two rooms for the following night, and that caused some confusion. The cleaner also came into our room twice without knocking, which was very uncomfortable.
