We paid for a larger room, so it was spacious, and the shower was nice, though the bathroom felt small. The rooms have been refurbished but still look a little dated. There was no in-room dining menu, which surprised me in such a large hotel. Staff seemed thin on the ground and weren't especially friendly. I was told an upgrade might be possible if one was available, then later heard we'd already booked the largest option, which caught me off guard. The work meeting room was well organised, with a good range of food and snacks. The heating in our room kept cutting out, though the space was otherwise set up well. Breakfast was included, but the same items every day became repetitive over our five-night stay. It's a very large, lively hotel with two towers, an excellent location, especially for nearby halal food, and straightforward check-in and check-out. There are useful facilities, but some parts of the experience could be better.

David at reception got my stay off to a great start with a smooth check-in. He was welcoming, professional, and very efficient. Gibreal Ibrahim in the lounge was just as impressive, attentive and genuinely caring, and made sure things were right throughout my visit. Their service made the Hilton London Metropole stay memorable. Highly recommended!

The room was comfortable and nicely presented, which makes the poor reception experience all the more frustrating. Check-in took much too long, and despite having paid in full when I booked, I was unexpectedly required to leave a £50 deposit. I was told I wouldn't get a room without paying it, which felt heavy-handed and unreasonable. They promised the money would be returned at check-out, but then said it would take two days. Six days later, no refund had arrived. Worse, my bank statement shows I was charged two days after checking out. That feels dishonest and like outright cheating. I asked for a receipt for the deposit but wasn't given one. The mishandling of my money and the reception staff's behaviour have left me with a very negative impression. Until the hotel fixes these problems, I can't recommend staying here.

The staff made a real difference when our booking dates got muddled because of our travel from the US and we arrived a day after the reservation began. They went above and beyond to sort it out. The lounge was a nice place to unwind with a few bites, and the team there was on point. Our room was clean, comfortable, and felt safe. The fitness center was roomy and had free weights, a pulley machine, benches, and plenty of other equipment. The hotel is just a block from Edgware Road tube station, and you can walk to a lot of sights too. We spent five nights here and had a great time. We'll be back next time, highly recommend.
