Holiday Inn London Regents Park

We had a lovely stay and would definitely consider coming back. The rooms felt relatively spacious compared with standard London hotels, and because the hotel is centrally located we didn't choose breakfast. Whenever we had a question, we got a quick and kind answer. A special thank you to Ms. Paris at reception for her help and warm smile. It was wonderful meeting her after our messages. She's friendly, attentive and good at finding solutions. ☺️🥰

The bank finalized its investigation on 1/21/26 and found a payment processing error by Holiday Inn. The hotel still hasn't taken ownership or offered a meaningful solution. The financial problems went beyond my booking too: prepaid breakfast was missing from a family member's reservation, and I had to call my bank to reverse those charges. I would avoid this hotel. My own room was charged twice, for duplicate amounts of about $2200 USD. When I raised the issue, the front desk told me to contact my bank and provide proof. I did, but the hotel charged my card anyway. Over several days, I spent hours following up on what should have been a simple payment check. I even arranged a three-way call with the hotel and my bank, which confirmed the stay was prepaid. I suggested reversing the charges and charging again at checkout while they investigated, but got silence. I lost time I could have spent exploring London and with family I hadn't seen for four months because of work. Customers shouldn't have to track down and fix the hotel's accounting errors, but that was left to me. The problem wasn't resolved during my stay, and staff were unhelpful and took no responsibility for poor business operations.

The location worked perfectly for my event at Outernet by Tottenham Court Rd, and I was glad this was a reward night booked with points. At the usual rate, well over £100, the stay would've been hard to justify. The common areas looked dated, and the staff didn't seem interested. My room was small, with no sockets by the bed, which is ridiculous in 2026. The mini fridge was switched off. The bathroom was tiny even for one person, and there was hair from previous guests by the sink and in the bath. I tried three pillows, including one from the wardrobe, but every one was hard and lumpy. I woke with a headache.

It's surprisingly quiet, and the beds are quite comfortable. The location is great, the breakfast is good and convenient, and reception service is always lovely. We usually stay here whenever we're in London.
