For one person staying a night or two, I found this a good alternative to a regular hotel. I’m not sure the rooms would suit a couple. It was a good stay, and the location is handy for Holborn, Farringdon and other areas where you can walk to dinner. The price was still quite high, though marginally cheaper than a regular PI room. My room was clean and bright, with no window, just a light panel. The small space was well laid out, with a desk that extends at the end of the bed, storage underneath and a small hanging area. The bathroom was clean, and the waterfall shower worked well. A friendly member of staff checked me in. The entrance and bar were bright, modern and clean too. The main thing missing was tea and coffee facilities, or even a glass for drinking water. They did provide a small bottle of water, and complimentary tea was available in the bar. Breakfast was good, with hot food as well as continental options, much like a regular Premier Inn.

The rooms use the space well, compact but arranged so they don’t feel cramped. Check-in was quick and easy with the self-service machines. It’s a good location, not too far from Soho and Covent Garden. The bar’s 5-7pm happy hour worked well for a Saturday night. The menu could use an update, though, since some listed items weren’t actually included.

We spent three nights here and were extremely satisfied. The hotel has a small-scale, cozy and personal feel, and the rooms are clean. Staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Breakfast was generous and had a warm, pleasant atmosphere. They also took special care to accommodate a gluten allergy.

I spent 3 nights and 4 days here. The practical, compact rooms and overall setup work fine for a short stay. The location is good, near transport, shops and nice places to eat, and the staff were friendly and tried to help. The service felt a bit unstructured, though. My room wasn’t cleaned at all during the stay, even though I expected at least one housekeeping visit. A bit more attention to room service and consistency would make this a very solid choice.
