The lounge was incredible, with free tea and coffee and a nice space to sit. We loved it so much we spent quite a lot of time at reception. The people there were all so nice, and the service was excellent. Our room was really cute, very clean and lovely, with everything we needed. It is small, but we flew Ryanair so our bags were tiny too. There’s also a pullout luggage space under the bed if you need it. The value for money is some of the best I’ve found in London, and I don’t think you could find a better deal. The location is perfect, easy to walk everywhere, with great nearby food and drink options that were affordable and yummy. We’ll definitely be back!

The room was at the end of the corridor, and the hotel seemed quiet overall. Its location was perfect for us, within walking distance of Chinatown, Leicester Square, the theatre district and more. The area felt safe, and it’s very close to 2 train/underground stations. The rooms are compact, as part of the concept, but there was little to no privacy when using the toilet, so it may not suit a romantic getaway. I’d still highly recommend this hotel for a budget stay in London and will definitely stay here again.

The location is great, the room design is a good concept, and the staff I spoke to were polite. I gave it 2 stars because the room was so cold when I arrived in January, late after a stressful and exhausting day, and it was difficult to warm up. The fan heater was extremely noisy, so it was uncomfortable to run for long. There was no spare quilt, and I ended up sleeping with my coat over the one provided. By morning, even after having the heater on and putting up with the noise, the bathroom was still very cold. To avoid another night like that, I asked for a spare quilt to be brought to my room that morning.

The room’s setup was clever for such a compact space, and the staff were attentive and accommodating. We visited in late May, 2025, after staying at hotels in Canterbury and York, and this one stood out against those and the many places we’ve stayed in America over the decades. It’s a reasonably short walk from Kings Cross, and you can get free espresso at any hour, though I wouldn’t recommend drinking it all night anymore. The shower hose was much appreciated for washing my undercarriage. One awkward thing about the small room: you can only get into bed from one side, not even from the foot, so you’ll need to climb over your partner.
