I stay here often for work around London. It’s 15 mins along the canal on foot from Paddington Station and 2 mins from Edgware Road (H&C). The welcome is always warm, it’s always clean, and nothing is ever a problem. The staff are consistently super friendly and helpful, a real credit to the Hub brand!

The room was so bad that I’m unlikely to return to this location or stay at Hub places in future. I’d stayed at other Premier Inn Hub hotels and had good experiences, so this was a real shock. The convenient location and decent staff didn’t make up for how nauseating the room was. It had no real window, just a fake one. I only found out afterward that the Hub websites say some rooms have no windows, but there’s no way to know in advance which kind you’ll get. If you need a window, I’d avoid it. The room also smelled horribly musty, like sewage, and it seemed to be coming from the air conditioning. I told reception and asked to move, but was told the hotel was full. The staff member acknowledged the smell and sprayed air freshener, which helped a little but couldn’t solve it. The temperature control was clearly faulty. The AC switched on by itself, making the room extremely hot and then extremely cold, even when I’d turned it off at the panel. I finally used the circuit breaker by the unit to keep it off. The bathroom tap was damaged and sprayed water everywhere even when barely open. The lights flickered and switched on and off on their own too. I complained to Premier Inn support, who referred me to the Marylebone Hub contacts, but they ignored me completely.

Great area, and the rooms are clean and modern, though small. To get a window, you’ll need to upgrade from the base room. Breakfast was tasty but limited, and nowhere near as good as at a standard Premier Inn.

We spent four nights here in an accessible room, so it was more spacious, but it had no window. That wasn’t mentioned when we booked through Agoda, and honestly I’d find it hard to stay longer without one. The price also felt a bit high for this standard. The location was very good, close to Baker Street and within walking distance of Oxford Street, with underground and bus connections. Getting to London Luton and Heathrow was convenient too. The room was clean, though the shower drain seemed blocked. Breakfast was okay, English breakfast style, but there were no vegetables and few lactose-free or plant-based choices. The breakfast and bar area was cozy, and the water, tea and coffee available 24/7 were a nice touch.

The best part was having drinks in the lobby with my friend. The staff were very friendly, and the cocktails were great. Rodica was especially nice, and we had a lovely night catching up. We stayed two nights, and my friend came over for drinks one evening. The room was clean but very compact, with a retractable desk. I can’t imagine working in there. I’d only share a room here with someone I’m very comfortable with, and if I planned to be out a lot or spend time in the lobby or bar. The room is mainly somewhere to sleep, which was fine for us.
