Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were friendly and willing to sort things out if anything went wrong. Albina at reception took good care of the guests. It was easy to get around from the hotel, whether walking or taking a short drive to the sights. I was very happy with my stay and would try to come back if I visit again. I’m grateful to the team.

The team really made the stay, especially the front desk and kitchen staff. Thanks to Rajesh, Amy, and the others. Breakfast was so good that even though I normally avoid sugar, I ate everything there :)) The hotel is on a great street, and I could easily get wherever I wanted to go.

The team was really nice, and the location was perfect, with three restaurants in the area and a pub. It was cheap, but the hotel felt very basic and old. The paint needs refreshing, the door lock needs fixing, and the bedroom was much too hot, even though we were there in February.

The breakfast was a real highlight: fresh, good quality food, plenty of choice, and they kept replenishing things. Getting around was easy too, with Pimlico station about a five-minute walk away, a bus stop right outside, and Victoria station around ten minutes away. The old, tall building does have an elevator, though there’s only one and it’s slow, so the stairs can be quicker. The breakfast team were especially kind and attentive, and the staff were friendly, although I saw different people at reception at night, sometimes not in uniform, which struck me as odd. The breakfast room is small for the size of the hotel, so there may be a queue if you don’t arrive early. My room was cramped, with four beds packed into a tiny space, and it took some maneuvering to reach the bathroom, though the bathroom itself was good. It wasn’t very clean: I found a fake fingernail on the uneven floor, there was dust around the room and bathroom, and the only bins were two tiny bathroom ones. I stayed four nights, and the room wasn’t cleaned once. I hadn’t put out the housekeeping note because I didn’t know I needed to, but I thought they might at least empty the bin, which was full after the first night. We weren’t asked if we needed anything or offered extra bathroom towels. Being next to the elevator meant I could hear it creaking all night through the thin walls. The staff didn’t warn us about that, or explain what was happening when the fire alarm went off one night. Since there are no phones in the rooms, I had to go down to reception in my pajamas to find out. On checkout, before 11 am, I asked to leave my bags there because my flight was much later and I wanted to enjoy the rest of the trip. They wanted £3.50 per bag, which I’ve never been charged at any of the many hotels I’ve stayed in across different countries. There was also a sign on the luggage room door saying the hotel wasn’t responsible for theft, which made the paid service feel particularly unhelpful. I don’t plan to return, though I’ve stayed in worse places. I think management could improve a lot if they wanted to.

The room was tiny, with nowhere to put luggage. Luckily, we don’t spend much time in our rooms. The lift was also a problem. We were on the fifth floor, and when I first stepped in, the doors wouldn’t close and it jolted. A couple we were travelling with tried it too, but it went up and back down with them still inside, so they had to take the stairs. The smell was awful. When staff stored our bags in a cupboard, we noticed it but didn’t go all the way in because they put the bags away for us. Later, they opened the door, and the smell made me feel physically sick. It got onto our bags and my cardigan, then made the whole room smell. I think the room may have smelled already, since the window was open for fresh air when we arrived. When we told staff the room smelled like sick, the person just asked what it smelled like and didn’t seem to care. It was absolutely filthy too. There was dust on top of the bed, on the only shelf, and along the skirting boards, plus drip marks on the walls. We stayed three nights and I managed just one quick, barely warm shower. There was no hot water, the pressure was diabolical, the shower was ridiculously small, and it wouldn’t drain properly. This place feels like a health disaster waiting to happen. Easily the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.
