Getting around the city was easy from this hotel's great location, and we had a good stay. The room was fine, but there are a few things that would have made it better. There isn't much luggage storage, and the tea and coffee kettle sits directly beneath the only clothes rail, which isn't very practical. The shower flooded the bathroom, leaving all our towels soaking wet. Cleaning is available only on request. That would have been fine if we'd been told at check-in, because when we came back in the evening our towels were still wet. None of these issues felt insurmountable, but they kept the stay from feeling like five stars.

The bed was the real highlight. It felt like being lowered onto a cloud, and I could happily have spent the day there with tea, watching the overcast London weather through the window. The rooms were cozy, stylish, comfortable, and thoughtfully put together. I stayed at The Hyde London City for five nights over Christmas and wasn't disappointed. After a 10-hour flight, the genuinely kind welcome made a difference. Check-in was easy, and the service stayed warm and attentive without becoming overbearing. The location made it simple to walk to many iconic sights and get to the Tube, so exploring never felt overwhelming. Comfortable, charming, and a great base for London. I'd absolutely Hyde away here again.

Jess and Alfie were fantastic and went out of their way to make our stay better. The employees and location really carried this hotel, with several metro stations incredibly close by. Our room was small, though, and the poorly designed shower flooded, so we had to dry the floor afterwards. The staff and location were great, but the hotel itself left a little to be desired.

The location made it easy to explore London, and the service was friendly and efficient throughout. Cleaning and maintenance were solid, and I really enjoyed the à la carte breakfast, a nice change from the usual hotel buffet. For its star rating, Hyde London City is a nice hotel. The rooms are quite small, and I was disappointed that the windows don't open. The gym is tiny and doesn't really match the rest of the hotel. Still, it was a convenient place to stay and a good experience overall.

The shower leaked under its door every time I used it, spreading water across the bathroom floor and leaving me to clean it up repeatedly. I also found the mattress topper uncomfortable for a longer stay, and it affected my sleep. Otherwise, Hyde London City had modern, quiet, generally comfortable rooms, a convenient location, and a peaceful atmosphere. It's a good hotel, but the bedding and bathroom need improvement. I wouldn't recommend adding breakfast right away. Try it first, then decide if you like it, because I didn't.
