Hyde Park Executive Apartments

The location is the one good part, very close to the underground. We only stayed one night, but the room was unpleasant from the start: it smelled bad and clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. The toilet looked used and unsanitized, there were no pillows, and the window had visible bird droppings on it. At around £100, I expected a much better level of cleanliness and basic amenities. I hope management takes these problems seriously for future guests.

The staff were friendly and helpful, but getting a response to maintenance requests took a while. Cleaning was slower than expected too, and some areas could have been better maintained. The washroom was quite small, and the shower cubicle felt uncomfortable, making it hard to enjoy a proper shower.

I booked in December 2024 because I had tickets for the BST festival in Hyde park this week (July 2025), and wanted the convenient location. Less than a week before our arrival, just days before the festival, they cancelled our booking without giving any reason. Finding a last-minute hotel nearby for that weekend will now cost us almost £400 extra. I wouldn’t book here. Based on many other people’s reviews, they seem to have a clear issue with bedbugs and rude staff. And even if you book anyway, like I did, they might cancel for no reason in the week you’re due to arrive. Awful. I’ve no idea how they keep their doors open.

We were there for three nights, and the room itself was spacious, clean, and had a kitchenette with a microwave, toaster, and kettle. Everything else was good. The trouble was the boiler: we had no hot water. The manager, I think, said it would be fixed by midnight on our first night, but it wasn't. I was also told we could switch rooms on the last day, though that never happened. On our final night, reception let us shower in a room that did have hot water, which helped. That's why I'd give it three stars.
