London Visitors Hotel

We stayed over Christmas and had a lovely, cosy, warm time. The staff, room, and bed were great, and there was room service every day. It’s not too far from the centre, and the public transport is so good that getting around was no trouble. More than fine, cheers!

The kitchen staff were nice, but that was about the only good thing. There was no main light, which made the cramped room feel even gloomier, and the shelves were mounted at an impractical height. The Wi-Fi was virtually unusable. The TV remote had no back cover or batteries, so I had to buy batteries myself. The bed squeaked loudly at the slightest movement and felt structurally unsound. Its headboard was very hard, and the setup was uncomfortable. The linens had debris in them, and most disturbingly, there seemed to be fecal matter on my partner’s pillow. There was also used gum stuck to the bedside shelving.

I haven’t stayed in the rooms, but I’ve gone in for coffee. The coffee and pastries are amazing, and they were very friendly about me playing the piano. In colder months there’s a lovely fireplace where you can study with a coffee, sit with friends, or have a nice meal. Definitely recommend it. Number 1 coffee in West London, and the coffee at this comfy hotel definitely helps me get through my assignments. :))

Friendly, attentive service helped make the stay pleasant, and the rooms were very clean, with fresh towels and neatly made beds every day. It’s great value for the price. The rooms are on the small side and don’t get much natural light. The location works well for exploring Kensington, though reaching other parts of the city, including the centre, can take around an hour by public transport.
