Maitrise Hotel Maida Vale

Having 24/7 access to the gym made it easy to keep up with my workouts, and breakfast had a great range of fresh, delicious options. From arrival onwards, the staff and management were welcoming, professional, and ready to help with a smile. They made the stay comfortable and memorable. Everything exceeded my expectations. I’d highly recommend Maitrise Hotel and will definitely return.

It’s about a 3-5 minute walk to the train station, with Tesco Express across the street and plenty of other shops nearby. There’s also Anytime Fitness. Carol, the manager, and the other staff were very friendly and accommodating. They stored our bags before check-in and after check-out, and the all-day breakfast meant we didn’t need to get up early. Our room was spacious and cozy, with heating that was just right for winter. A perfect budget-friendly hotel.

There’s a Tesco Express and other shops across the street, and guests can get discounted access to the gym and restaurant. The location made London easy to explore, with a bus stop outside and a metro station a few minutes away. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with enough space for a couple. A fridge would have been useful for water and other chilled items. Staff were friendly, and check-in and check-out were quick and easy. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel and come back.

I asked for a room on a higher floor but was given a very small basement room, and had to carry my luggage on the stairs. The toilet wouldn’t flush after I checked in. When I tried to shower after a busy day, there was no cool water to balance the heat from the shower. Two nearby rooms were being repaired and had a strong smell, so I don’t think mine should have been allocated between them. I was really disappointed with the facilities. I appreciated that the two receptionists on duty called for help once I complained.
