Native Bankside

Coffee, food, and the Bankside pier are right around the corner, with an M&S a reasonable walk away. Somehow it stays quiet despite all that. We had a lovely time in the apartment, which was clean and very well equipped, and all the staff were courteous and professional. The location was incredible. No reservations, I'd recommend it without hesitation.

I was here for four nights on a work trip and would happily book again. The location was perfect, and the small studio was thoughtfully laid out and had everything I needed. I just had trouble reaching the high cupboards since I'm not very tall. The front desk team were extremely friendly and helpful.

Check-in took me 50 minutes. The staff were pleasant enough, but there weren't enough people working during busy times. The room was really dirty, smelled of wet dog, had dog hair all over the bedding, and stains on the furniture. I don't know what happened to Bankside, but the quiet rooms I used to get seem to be gone. My last three stays have been very poor. The air conditioning units made noise all night, and the AC was broken, leaving it either freezing or boiling hot. The electrics were damaged too, so the main light switched on by itself three times overnight and early in the morning. I wouldn't stay again.

The room was really nice, the staff friendly, and the location and amenities were great for seeing London. But if you're travelling with a baby, be careful with the cot they provide. The mattress on ours was too small, leaving gaps at the sides, and they'd folded a regular adult sheet to fit it, which isn't safe for a baby. On the evening we arrived, after a long travel day, I had to go out and find a baby sheet so my daughter could sleep in it at all. There wasn't anything nearby, so I had to go 25 minutes away. You may be better off bringing your own.
