Divua at reception set a great tone for the stay. She was polite, professional and genuinely welcoming, a rare combination that she handled effortlessly. The lobby stayed lively but well managed, and the lifts were efficient even when things were busy. Breakfast was great, and the location made it easy to get around London and attend events at the conference centre. The rooms look a little dated, but the service and extensive amenities more than make up for it. This Yank will absolutely be back.

The only real drawback was how easily we could hear neighbours and people in the corridor through the room walls. Otherwise, we had a very pleasant stay in a lovely hotel with a good standard of service. Waqas was especially professional, attentive and helpful, and his assistance made our visit even more enjoyable. A big thank you to him.

We paid £361 for two nights, and I won't be coming back. The room was clean and check-in went smoothly, though the shower pressure was weak. The trouble was mostly with the bar and restaurant. Staff in both places were generally rude even when we spoke politely, and an optional service charge was automatically added to purchases. When questioned, staff argued and told us to just pay it. At the self-serve bar, I took a sandwich from the fridge to the counter to pay, as a staff member had instructed, and was still charged a 12% service fee. Later at the restaurant, we waited an hour for our orders to be taken and the food to arrive, despite there being only about 10 other people there. Half the food was stone cold, two dishes never came, and the staff rolled their eyes when we raised it. They called the assistant bar manager, who was actually very lovely. I stayed for an event at the hotel on Saturday and Sunday. Next time I’d take my chances at the Premier Inn five minutes around the corner. There’s a lovely steakhouse next to it that I highly recommend.

Blessita made sure I was as comfortable as possible while I was almost 30 weeks pregnant, and we had a very nice upgraded room with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was nice, the coffee great, and the cocktails and mocktails amazing. It was about a five-minute walk to the subway. We had a very good stay and would come back. Thanks, Blessita!
