Number Sixteen

The Orangery felt like a lovely hidden gem, with a beautiful, relaxed space and delicious food. I was pleasantly surprised by the service, which was exceptional. The afternoon tea was the best I've tried in London.

The calm, understated decor made the hotel feel lovely, and the staff were patient and helpful. We asked to move indoors from the garden and they cheerfully sorted it out. It’s tucked among the residential streets of onslow gardens, so we might have walked past if not for the name Number Sixteen, after the house number. The afternoon tea was a treat. Each person got four sandwiches on different breads, and every one was good. My favourite sweet was the meringue tart, though I’d happily have another. The clotted cream was so good we asked for a second helping.

A little gem 🙏❤️. The price was reasonable, the tea selection was lovely, and the food was delicious. Service was spot on from the moment we stepped into the foyer.

The staff were phenomenal, and the complimentary breakfast was five-star. My husband and I only stayed one night, but it was a fantastic visit. The room was beautiful, and I’d highly recommend the hotel.
