Old Street Apartments

We ran into an abrupt AirBnB problem after arriving on New Year's Eve, and the staff helped us so much. They let us check in at 4am and get into our room. It was very clean and had wonderful amenities. The location is FANTASTIC and the price was fantastic too. I can't say enough about the staff. I need to get the names of the young man and young woman who helped with check-in and extending our stay.

I've stayed here for work before, and brought my family this time. We all loved it. The staff worked hard to make sure we were comfortable and happy. The breakfast was great, included in the price, and had hot and cold food, drinks, cereals, meats and even waffle makers, so there was something for everyone. Rooms were clean, nicely decorated and had what we needed for a short stay: large comfortable beds, modern plugs with USB ports, a large TV, mini fridge and a great shower. We didn't eat lunch or dinner here, so I can't comment on those.

The hotel is a short walk from Angel tube and Old Street, so it's easy to get to, with restaurants nearby and plenty of Deliveroo options. The hotel's own menu is very basic, though some items are available 24/7. This was my first stay here, and it's a pretty new place that still looks and smells fresh. Rooms are small but comfortable, with excellent air conditioning and a lovely shower with good pressure and temperature. The gym is small, as you'd expect at a Hampton, but the equipment was in good condition and there was a decent mix for its size. It was busy by 6:15am, though, and with only two treadmills, getting a workout in before work could be tough. Breakfast was basic even by Hampton standards, but did the job. I'm still looking for filter coffee, as I found the machine coffee really poor. Check-in was efficient and friendly. I had a nice stay.

Lovanshi, the Guest Service Manager at Hampton by Hilton London Old Street, handled our room issue with real professionalism, empathy and efficiency. She listened, acted straight away, and made sure it was escalated and properly resolved. Her calm manner and genuine concern helped us feel valued and reassured. What stayed with me was the personal kindness. She arranged a late check-out and refund, checked on us, and even shared thoughtful wishes for my mum's upcoming eye appointment. Issues can happen at any hotel, but her service made the difference. She reflects very well on the hotel and is a real credit to her team. I'd happily stay again because of the care she showed us.
