Olympic House Hotel

Paddington station is only about a five-minute walk away, and you can get there on the train from the airport, where Paddington is the last stop. It’s an easy area to get around on foot, with plenty of pubs and places to eat. The hotel was clean and quiet, the staff were very friendly, and there was a delicious free continental breakfast each morning. There’s a laundromat five blocks away, and a hop-on, hop-off double-decker bus stop is three minutes from the hotel. It’s convenient for everything, and we’ll definitely be back.

For under £70, this is really good value. At that price, you’d otherwise be looking at a hostel or somewhere well outside central London. It’s a small, basic hotel in a good location, the sort of place I’d use to sleep after a night out. The room was clean and quiet but very warm even in November, with little ventilation. It’s also tiny and has almost no amenities, not even a kettle. Breakfast was lacking: no vegan option, just toast, boiled eggs, packaged croissants and cereal. There was no fresh whole fruit, and the dining room was cramped. I’d skip breakfast, but would probably stay here again for a cheap place to crash after a late event.

I was in London for five days to see a play and found this hotel great for solo travel. Pattington Station and several restaurants are within walking distance.

I spent 12 nights here and found the hotel exceptionally clean and very good. It’s a great location, about a five-minute walk from Paddington Station, with lots of places to eat nearby. The manager was a friendly, sweet lady, and Hammad Ali at reception was exceptionally polite and helpful. I’ll definitely stay here again.
