My stay at Onefam Waterloo was short but really memorable. I had a lovely conversation with Jacob, who’s not just a manager but also very friendly and genuinely interested in backpackers and their journeys. Summer has such lively energy and made me feel like family as soon as I walked in. Everyone around was incredibly kind and welcoming, and it was wonderful meeting fellow backpackers and making new friends. Thank you 🫶🌻

There was always something happening at Onefam Waterloo: free walking tours and group dinners, then drinking games and clubbing every night. It was our first party hostel and one of our first hostels, and we were pleasantly surprised because we honestly didn’t know what we were getting into. It was the most welcoming and social hostel we’ve stayed at. Common areas were often full of people, and the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help. Thomas the Texas Tornado, Maddy, Jack, Harry and Hector were especially wonderful and welcoming. The kitchen was almost always accessible, clean and packed with useful appliances. Bathrooms could have had more toilets and had some mild mould issues, but the water was hot and there was nothing else to complain about. Dorms have triple bunks, so climbing to the top took some effort. There were no curtains, but the mattresses and pillows were comfortable and the linens clean. Lockers, luggage storage and hair dryers were available free of charge. The hostel is a 15-minute walk from a superstore and five minutes from a bus stop or subway station. We were incredibly happy with our stay and would recommend it to solo or group travellers looking for a social, high-energy crowd.

The hostel has a really welcoming feel, and there’s plenty going on socially. The volunteers were especially helpful, and I’d say it’s a great fit if you’re travelling alone. My one gripe was the bunks: there were no curtains, and with three beds stacked together, a bit of privacy would have made a difference.

I felt at home as soon as I arrived. Everyone on staff was warm and helpful, especially Summer, Jack, Zach, Thomas and Maria. I had a great time here and would happily recommend it to anyone after a fun hostel stay.

Isaac Rabot and the rest of the staff made my time in London unforgettable. They were genuinely among the best people I’ve met. The rooms and beds were comfortable, the place was clean, and both the walking tours and parties were well organised. I had an amazing stay and would recommend it without hesitation.
