The housekeeping team were lovely, and the hotel was impressively clean. Reception staff were kind and helpful from the moment we arrived, which made us feel welcome. We had a wonderful stay and everything exceeded our expectations. The negative Google reviews we'd seen didn't match our experience at all. We'd gladly return.

The second time I stayed here was also my last. The building is old and the rooms are very small, though they're okay for sleeping after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast was mediocre, and the rooms weren't cleaned well. For the price of a three-star hotel, I expected much more. This isn't a cheap place, and basic decent service should come as standard. Both visits, the waiter couldn't find my room when I arrived for breakfast and told me to go to reception to pay or sort it out. The second time, even after I gave him my room number and name, he still couldn't find it. I asked him to check with reception. When he came back, he was extremely rude and loudly told me I hadn't paid and needed to go pay, while everyone stared. I repeated that breakfast was already paid for and asked him to check again. He said he had checked and that it wasn't his job. He kept walking around and looking at us as though we were doing something wrong or eating without paying. Back in my room, I contacted Booking.com, where I'd booked. They got in touch with the hotel, which confirmed the payment had been made. If you want an embarrassing, unpleasant experience, this might be the place. For me, it was the worst hotel experience I've had. The rooms are part of the problem, but the service was the real low point.

The hotel is very good and well placed in the city centre. What made our stay especially nice was breakfast chef SYLVESTER, my friend! Over the two days we were there, he was so kind. He gave us five portions of Nutella for free, an orange juice and an apple, and we really appreciated it. My father also took a photo with him so we could remember the moment. I hope Sylvester remembers us too. Sending lots of love and hugs from Italy. Famiglia Costantino Ciao Sylvester ❤️

I came back for a second visit because the staff are so helpful, friendly and polite. The price is reasonable and about the same as other hotels nearby. Our triple room was small, but clean and nicely presented, and it had what we needed as a base for a weekend in London. I'd recommend it.

The place was clean, but I regretted booking it. My basement room was tiny, with a small bed and cold-feeling tiles. I think carpet would make it much more homely. For a Saturday night it cost almost £200, which felt like too much. I can't say what the other rooms are like, but in hindsight I should have paid a bit more for a proper hotel.
