Point A Hotel London - Canary Wharf

The staff were professional and friendly, and Emanuel in particular made me feel at home with his client-focused approach. It was the classic Point A experience, clean and simple, with an excellent breakfast. The location is great if you’re going to events at excel London.

I was pleased to see the lobby had been renovated since my last visit in 2023. It’s much brighter, more modern, and more welcoming now. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and booking directly through the hotel website got me free breakfast. There was enough variety for a good continental breakfast. I came back to Point A Hotel in Canary Wharf mostly for its convenient location and good value. It’s well connected and has usually been a reliable choice for short London stays. This time, though, the room cleanliness was noticeably worse. I found a toenail clipping on the bathroom floor and a large stain on the duvet cover. The fresh towel I asked reception for had body hairs on it. That was well below the standard of my previous stay and took away from the hotel’s positives.

It was easy to get around from Point A Canary Wharf, and still quiet and tucked away. The area is very walkable, close to public transport, the waterfront, and places like the Museum of Docklands. I found the exhibits on the 3rd floor and England’s involvement in slavery fascinating. I liked the value and being able to choose my room online before arrival. Breakfast had vegan options and was free when booked through the hotel website. Staff from reception, the kitchen, and housekeeping were all attentive and helpful. One tip: bring an insulated water bottle and tea bags. You can get hot water from the machine at breakfast or from a cafe while you’re out, then make tea in your room.

A calm and pleasant area, with excellent public transport connections to the city centre. That made this hotel in Canary Wharf a really good base for my stay. The staff were friendly and professional throughout, always ready to help with anything I needed. Breakfast was simple, but fresh and nicely prepared each morning. I’d happily come back, especially for a quiet stay with quick access to the main parts of London.
