Premier Inn London Farringdon - Smithfield

The staff were professional, friendly and ready to help, and check-in and checkout both went quickly and smoothly. We got an extra duvet, and the bed was especially comfortable after long days sightseeing. The room was clean and well maintained, and the modern bathroom was clean too, with good water pressure, two large towels and a small one. Premier Inn London Farringdon is well located, with public transport and restaurants close by and many central London attractions within easy reach. We had a very pleasant stay, found it good value and would definitely recommend it to other London visitors. I’d stay here again for business or leisure.

I always feel at ease here and plan to keep coming back. The staff are warm and helpful, especially Emma and Victoria. It’s a handy spot for getting around: about three minutes on foot to the Elizabeth Line and five to Farringdon Station, with the Barbican and St Paul's Cathedral also within a ten-minute walk. The room was spotless, as usual, and the bed was really comfortable. Premier Plus rooms have a useful fridge and armchair, and the hotel is fully accessible. The bath has an over-bath shower with strong pressure and plenty of hot water. Breakfast seemed to have lots of options, and you can pick up extra tea bags or milk in the restaurant, bar, or lobby. There are vending machines for drinks and snacks too. One thing to know: many nearby restaurants and bars close on Sundays, and some do on Saturdays as well.

Breakfast staff were attentive and great. Reception was another story. For a hotel full of business travellers, they seemed short on irons. When I asked, the receptionist told me I could wander the corridors and see whether one had been left lying around. A lovely scavenger hunt after a long commute.

The best part for me was how quiet it was. Our room faced the inner courtyard, and I slept better there than anywhere else in London, with literally no noise. It’s tucked away on a small street in the City, but still near Blackfriars and Farringdon stations and bus routes that make it easy to get around. The place was clean and modern, with the usual Premier Inn clean room and comfy bed. Breakfast was good value and plentiful, and children ate free. I loved staying here.
