I spent a whole month at the Premier Inn at Lambeth Road and had a fantastic stay. The buffet breakfast had decent choice for a hotel, and the premium Wi-Fi was useful for getting my work done. My room was nice and not too dirty, though there was dust if you looked closely. The view from the ninth floor facing the shard was marvellous at night. The staff were professional and polite, and these people really made the experience for me: Tonima, a DM; Aika, a TM; Kalil, a DM; Ashli, a TM; Sianie, a DM; Tauhid, a TM; Lucy, a TM; Gaby, a HM; and Mish, a AP. Without them I doubt I’d have enjoyed the stay as much. They all deserve a significant pay rise, any hotel would be lucky to have them. I’d definitely stay here again and hope to see them.

Getting around London was incredibly easy from this hotel, with public transport very close by. My room at Premier Inn London Waterloo (Lambeth Road) was clean and comfortable, and the lovely view made the stay even nicer. The woman at the breakfast entrance was especially friendly and welcoming each morning, which added a lot to the experience. I was very satisfied with my stay and would happily choose the hotel again.

The room was decent and I enjoyed the breakfast, but the shower made my stay uncomfortable. Its hose is much too short for the sliding rail, so the shower head can’t be raised to a usable height and it was nearly impossible to shower properly. I raised it with the front desk, but they said every room of this type has the same problem and that changing rooms wasn’t possible. It’s disappointing to be told this basic defect is standard. I hope management replaces the hoses with longer ones.

The hotel’s very central, and all the staff were exceptionally friendly and caring. We had a lovely stay and the breakfast was quite good. The food display areas felt a bit unappetising and not very inviting, even though staff were cleaning them frequently. Maybe it was just the way the food was presented.

The only thing this hotel has going for it is its location near Westminster Bridge. I checked in at midnight on 29 Dec 25 after calling more than 10 times during the day to let them know we’d arrive late. Every time, getting through the AI bot to reception was a pain, and then the phone just rang out. The staff member who greeted me acted like I’d woken her up. She was the most unfriendly person I’ve met. Our room wasn’t what we’d booked, had no fridge, and we were woken from 6am by a staff door banging because our room was next to it. I’ve never stayed somewhere without a fridge before. The sockets didn’t work, and maintenance failed to fix them when I reported it in the morning. I asked for the room to be cleaned and was told it would be, but it wasn’t. The price doesn’t represent value for money. This should be a 2-star hotel, and I’d tell anyone considering it to look elsewhere. I’ve unfortunately got two more nights in this hell hole with staff who couldn’t care less about your experience.
