We were asked to pay a £25 cleaning fee when we arrived. It wasn't shown when I booked through Agoda, and I still can't find it listed among the costs. We raised the issues during our stay but received no refund or compensation. On the first night, we found bedbugs and were bitten, then had to carefully clean all our belongings when we got home. Heavy rain caused a leak on the second day, wetting some of our things. The host responded and moved us to another room, but it was still quite inconvenient. The room wasn't clean to the standard we expected, and adjusting the shower temperature was difficult. We didn't expect much at this price, but basic cleanliness, transparent charges and fair handling of problems seemed reasonable. Unfortunately, that wasn't our experience.

The room was very poor. Outside noise from passing cars continued all the time, and the service wasn't very good. The bathroom water flow was weak. I also had to pay an extra 25 euros for cleaning, even though Agoda didn't say when I booked that there would be a charge.

We couldn't stay at all. The room still hadn't been cleaned when we were meant to check in.

For London prices, I thought this was a very good deal. The room was simple but clean, and the location worked really well for Stansted Airport and the tube. Getting in was a little awkward because the access was narrow.

A miserable stay. The stairs were steep, dirty and broken, and inside there was broken furniture and a badly worn mattress. It was nothing like the description.
