Riu Plaza London The Westminster

Housekeeping eventually brought the small washcloths after I called the front desk three times. On the third try, I was in the lobby and mentioned it to someone there, and that's when they got delivered. The room was much smaller than I expected, but it was okay. The grounds were nice and the hotel is in a great location. Most of the staff were friendly. On the second night, I wanted a cocktail but was told the restaurant was closed and the bar had moved to the lobby floor. I thought that was strange for a hotel of this caliber in that area. I believe they said it was because of a change in restaurant management. All in all, it was a pretty good stay.

The hotel handled our initial room issue immediately and professionally. Staff were friendly and efficient throughout, and quickly arranged new rooms without any fuss. We arrived early, around 10:40-10:45 a.m., and the rooms were already ready, which we really appreciated. The rooms were modern, clean, and very comfortable. The location is outstanding for exploring London, with many major sights within walking distance. Breakfast was delicious and well organized, with fresh omelets made in front of you and a selection that had everything you could need to start the day. The gym isn't huge, but it's well designed across two floors and has what you need for a good workout in a pleasant atmosphere. We stayed at the Hotel Riu Plaza London The Westminster shortly after it was taken over and had an excellent experience. Great hotel, great service, top location, and a high level of comfort. We'd definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

We stayed for 7 nights and couldn't have chosen a better location. Big Ben (Elizabeth Tower), Westminster Abbey, the London Eye, and more were all within walking distance. The rooms were comfortable, and the service was outstanding. This stay set the bar very high for RIU hotels. Highly recommend! From arrival, the staff at RIU Westminster went above and beyond. They graciously upgraded us. When early check-in wasn't available at another RIU London Palace location, they arranged and paid for a cab to Westminster. Class act. Romero was the best, give this man a raise. The personal welcome meant a lot too. After we returned from Paris, they remembered us and greeted us warmly. It was our first stay at a RIU property, and a perfect experience.

The walk from Victoria was a nice way to take in the buildings and views, and the hotel is less than 10 minutes from the London Eye. It’s a very central spot. Breakfast was amazing, and the service and portering were great. The rooms are compact, but still feel luxurious. There’s no evening meal service, which worked for us since we wanted to try local restaurants.
