The pub has loads of character, and its rooftop is a nice extra on a sunny day. Stoke Newington is one of my favourite parts of London, and the location worked perfectly for us. My boyfriend and I had a fantastic stay at The Rose & Crown. Kate was kind, friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. We arrived early and could check in, which was great. The room was spacious and clean, with a great shower and the most comfortable bed ever. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. Kate’s lovely to chat with, and I’d return in a heartbeat. 10/10.

The Wellington and nut roast were both really enjoyable. The beef was a bit fatty, but the sticky toffee pudding was delicious. We came for a Sunday roast and had excellent service from very friendly staff.

The bed was a great choice, but breakfast let it down. The continental spread was disappointing, with packet ham and cheese already sliced and cold boiled eggs, so we went across the road for the hearty breakfast we wanted. The rooms were very comfortable, and the staff were brilliant, friendly, and helpful. I loved the manager’s handwritten note and flowers in the room.

We always feel looked after here, and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. It’s great for groups, kids, dogs, you name it. Sunday lunch was fantastic. My dog will be glad to come back, stick his nose behind the bar, and get more treats.

The roast was outstanding, with generous portions of beautiful rib eye beef, potatoes, vegetables, and first class yorkies. The beer and wine were very good too. We came as a family for Sunday lunch and got top notch service. Thanks to the staff and chef for a memorable meal. We’ll definitely be back.
