Strand Palace

The bed was extremely comfortable and large, and the room stayed quiet despite how big and busy the hotel is. The location was very good too. I did spot a tidiness issue at check-in, an old sock under the chair and rubbish left in the bin by the previous guest. Still happy overall, and I’d recommend it.

Breakfast had plenty of choice and was really good, and the person who checked me in was lovely. The staff were warm and helpful throughout, which made me feel welcome. My room was modern, spotless, and much quieter than I expected in such a central spot. The Strand Palace is right by the theatre, shopping, and sightseeing. After a dozen trips to London, I’ve finally found my hotel, and I won’t stay anywhere else.

The free drink, chocolates, and balloons were such a lovely touch. We stayed overnight for my sister’s 60th birthday and went to the theatre. Vaudeville Theatre was just a few steps away, with restaurants and Covent Garden close by for a wander. We’d like to stay here again on our next trip and spend more time using the bar and restaurant. I felt safe walking around alone both day and night, even though the hotel is so central. It’s close to convent garden, Chinatown, theatres, and all the food spots and coffee shops I wanted to try, yet quiet enough to get away from the madness. I came by myself for my birthday, my first stay here, and they gave me a cute balloon, a birthday card, and free drinks. Richard, Mohammed, and Joseph were wonderful, from the desk to the door. My single room was surprisingly spacious, with a cute little view. The bathroom and all the amenities were clean. There was a shower, and the TV had cable, but I mostly watched BBC or 5USA. Law & Order and NCIS are always good watches. I only paid a £25 deposit per night. I recommend the hotel and will come back. Thanks for a lovely experience.
