The Capital Hotel, Apartments & Townhouse

Service is immaculate, and the accommodation and dining both show sincere professionalism and careful attention to detail. The Capital offers quiet, understated luxury, like a calm sanctuary tucked into Central London’s bustle while still being easy to reach. I’d thoroughly recommend a meal and a stay.

Harrods and Hyde Park are an easy walk away, which made it a great base for seeing London. I was travelling on my own and the room worked perfectly for me, though groups of more than two should check the room size before booking. At The Capital Hotel, Hana, Ariola, and Valerica at the help desk were warm, attentive, and professional from check-in through check-out. Their welcome made the stay memorable. I’d happily stay again.

I feel safe here: the team gets to know its guests, and the doors are locked after midnight. It also has that home away from home feeling, thanks to how kind, welcoming, and professional everyone is. Alejandro, the manager, is always helpful, and the staff go out of their way to make each visit pleasant. I’ve stayed more than three times this year and have been coming back for the past couple of years. It’s one of my favourite places in London.

I went to Tom Brown’s restaurant for lunch and coffee after a photoshoot nearby, and the food was phenomenal. The dishes had bold, memorable flavours and were beautifully presented. The staff there were friendly and attentive, too. It’s a real draw for a meal at the Capital Hotel. The front desk was a different experience. I arrived with a big bag and asked if they could hold it. Valerica, whose name I learned later, said they only hold bags for guests, and her manner felt miserable and unwelcoming even after I explained I was going to have lunch. For a 5-star hotel, I expected a warmer, more accommodating response. The other front desk staff were professional, but this interaction stood out in a bad way.
