The pub downstairs was a highlight: great food, a killer included breakfast, cheap pints, and a fun crowd in the evening. It closes at 11pm, so we didn't have to worry about noise all night. The room was clean and perfectly adequate for a couple, though neither big nor luxurious. We were visiting from the states and would recommend this over a typical hotel chain. It's an easy walk to kings cross for transit around London, with plenty to do nearby too. Thanks for making our stay so pleasant!

A friend suggested this place when my London plans changed at short notice and I needed a room for the night. They were planning a gathering here anyway, and it worked out perfectly. The room was warm, cozy, sparkling clean, and felt safe. The area was quiet, and with the pub closing at 11, I got a peaceful night's sleep. Dinner was excellent, with lots of drinks and gluten free options. I also liked that it's an independent pub. The price was very reasonable and came with an excellent full English and strong coffee. Everyone was welcoming and super friendly, and the location is just a few minutes from KGX. I'll stay again if I need to, and recommend it to friends and family.

We stumbled on this place during a short London break and really liked the atmosphere, beer, food, and friendly staff. The food isn't cheap, but it was excellent and felt like good value. We tried the wild mushroom and leek pie with veg (£20.50) and the chickpea burger (£17.50). We're not vegetarians, but both were so good we'd order them again. A really good local crowd, too.

I've been dropping in about once a month for a while, and it's a lovely warm place even on weekends, when it never gets too rowdy for a central London pub. The staff behind the bar are friendly and drinks are reasonably priced. The atmosphere, food, drinks, and service are all 10/10 for me. They hosted my birthday a few weeks ago and were so accommodating. There are a few covered outdoor tables, great for summer or even winter if you smoke, since they have heaters. Couldn't recommend it enough.

Monday quiz night was already busy by 6pm, but the staff welcomed us and even managed to find a table from nowhere. The quiz was epic, with a quizmaster who was having fun without taking over the room. We had excellent house wines and friendly, helpful service. There were tasty meals with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free choices, plus smaller portions such as fish and chips. I had the Grilled Halloumi Salad made with falafels and hummus instead of Halloumi. It was fresh, tasty, and nicely balanced. We'll both come back next time we're in London.
