The Langham London

Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of high-quality choices, freshly prepared and nicely presented. The dining experience matched the standard of the hotel. From arrival, the service felt attentive, professional and warm. The Langham, London is elegant, beautifully kept and full of timeless charm that reflects its history. My spotless, comfortable room was thoughtfully designed and made a peaceful retreat in the city. The hotel delivers comfort, service and care for detail. It lives up to its reputation, and I'd happily recommend it to anyone visiting London. I'd certainly stay again.

The Langham Burger was fantastic, cooked perfectly, and probably the best part of my birthday stay. The property itself is beautiful, but the visit left me frustrated, not pampered, and below what I've experienced at other luxury hotels in London and abroad. Breakfast was a letdown. The hash browns and sausages were decent, but the bacon was tough, overcooked and almost inedible. At this level, every part of the most important meal of the day should be done well. Sleep was the bigger problem. Loud noises woke me at 3:00 AM on both Wednesday and Thursday. After I complained, I was offered another suite, but the Duty Manager didn't respond for more than 30 minutes. I eventually had to leave my room and go down nine floors to reception to get anything resolved. Paying for luxury service shouldn't mean having to track someone down in the middle of the night. I booked the stay to celebrate my birthday, but it ended in disappointment. The poor breakfast, unacceptable noise and slow management response fell well short of The Langham's five-star reputation.

Best stay I've had in London on an official trip. My room stayed clean, and room service was amazing and never disturbed me. Two little things stood out: they noticed how much water I drink and left 2 bottles, which I loved. Then, after I forgot my phone on the counter at checkout, the team at the entrance came running after me with it. Amazing team 😊

We had a £140 breakfast add-on prepaid for both of us for two mornings, then cancelled it. Reservations said we'd be refunded when we left, but instead I got no refund and was charged another £60 cancellation fee. So we paid £200 for breakfasts we never had. I contacted the hotel and they refused to refund it. Also, if you're with a group, there's nowhere to sit together for a drink except the pub or cocktail bar. The cocktail bar requires a booking with a £500 minimum spend. Hotels of this calibre usually have a guest lounge with a bar.
