The Memoir Club

The shower in room 302 felt unsafe. Grout had worn away around the grate, leaving sharp tile edges that could cut my feet. I also found the heated towel rack's power cable drilled through the shower screen and coming out of the wall inside the shower. I don't know what the other rooms are like, but I'd avoid 302. The room worked as a place to sleep and freshen up, but the breakfast was average. There was a power cut around 22:30 that took out the internet, and since the TV relied on it, I couldn't use that either. One of those things, I suppose. At checkout I saw another guest demanding a full refund because the hotel had duplicated their room card and given it to someone else, who disturbed them in the early hours. I stayed at the Memoir Club hotel from 2/3/26 to 3/3/26. It wasn't the best hotel I've stayed at, but I've stayed in worse.

I stayed one night, don't know anyone at the hotel, and have no reason to be biased. I really can't understand the low ratings, I'd give it five stars and would gladly return for more nights. My cheapest room was on the west side. It was clean and cozy, with modern furniture, a contemporary lighting setup, and up-to-date tech. The large TV already had Netflix, YouTube, and other apps installed. The carpet, curtains, and furniture looked high quality and went well together. The bed was very comfortable too, despite what some reviews say, with a feather duvet and feather pillows. Everyone I dealt with was polite, friendly, and very helpful. I spoke to three or four staff members, from check-in to luggage storage. The lobby was modern and spotless, with comfortable seating and a welcoming bar. The location was excellent as well. Thank you!

The hot breakfast each day was a highlight, and being close to cafes and restaurants like Pret and Leon made it easy to find places to eat. It's also very near Euston station and St pancras, so getting around London was simple. I was in the area for a conference at the BMA, and the hotel was comfortable and convenient. I wanted to add two days to my stay, but it was fully booked. The staff didn't seem very keen to help me find another way to extend, probably because they're used to being full. Still, it's worth considering if you need to stay in the area.

The Memoire Club restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere for a lovely afternoon tea with my friend. We chatted as the drinks kept coming, and the staff were kind and very accommodating. The food was delicious, especially the brownies, the best I've ever tasted. The salmon sandwiches were the best too, with the cucumber ones a close second. It was a memorable afternoon, and we'll be back. Thanks to everyone who looked after us so well.
