We had a gorgeous birthday stay last month. Our room was huge and had patio access, which was lovely for morning coffee. Milan and the team did so much to make the experience memorable, the concierge were very attentive, and breakfast offered a wide choice. We’ll be back!

The location was the highlight for us: close to Green Park Tube, Piccadilly, Bond street and Pall Mall, so we could walk almost everywhere we wanted. We visit London about once a year from Australia to see my daughter, and this was our first stay at The Stafford. Our Carriage house room was comfortable, dinner at Michael Staines at The Stafford was memorable, and the made-to-order afternoon tea scones were delicious. There were frustrations, though. On a couple of mornings, we waited a long time for breakfast, as the hotel seemed to serve outside guests too. A few times we were told there was no room when we tried to have afternoon tea. Staff often seemed stressed and hassled, and we didn’t feel as welcome or valued as in-house guests. Getting to our room meant going out of the main building, across a courtyard, up open-air stairs and along an open-air corridor. The weather was kind to us this time, but that route would be unpleasant in cold rain. The hotel has many positives, but those issues affected how welcome we felt.

The balcony views and the marble-style bathroom, with its deep soaking tub and bath salts, were lovely. The Mews Master Suite felt peaceful and roomy, with soft, beautiful interiors. It was a nice room to slow down and enjoy. ❤️

I’m a chauffeur and waited outside the hotel for several hours while my client, a guest, was inside. After a long wait, I politely asked to use the restroom. The staff replied in a superior tone, asking who I was and what I wanted. Once I explained, they refused in a disrespectful, humiliating way. I found the treatment disappointing and unprofessional. Everyone deserves basic courtesy and respect.
