The Westbourne Hyde Park

The room was clean, basic and a little dated. I slept okay, though the sheets weren't very nice and the pillows were awful. The one-bedroom suite I was upgraded to had a comfortable little couch, a good-sized bedroom with a desk, and a kitchenette with everything I could need. Staff were great, helpful and welcoming. I'd stay again, especially for a longer visit. Getting there was easy, with two tube stations close by, Heathrow connections, and Hyde Park right nearby for a walk. I arrived around 1pm, but the room wasn't ready until checkout at 3pm. When I came back at 3, I waited about 20 minutes before getting in.

The location was a real highlight, just 200-300 meters from the metro, Hyde Park, shops and restaurants. As a hotel manager in Turkey, I also paid attention to the service, and found the management close to flawless. I can wholeheartedly recommend the hotel and would choose it again whenever we visit London. We were three people and stayed in a two-bedroom suite. It was fantastic, with soft, very comfortable beds, new first-quality textiles and towels, and daily cleaning. The bathroom towels were changed every day, and bottled water in glass bottles was provided daily. The room also had a coffee machine, kettle and kitchen equipment. Its temperature was always comfortable without heating, and could be adjusted with the control. Wi-Fi was free, fast and worked well throughout the hotel. The hotel, including the rooms and bathrooms, felt brand new and was impeccably clean. The bathroom shampoo, conditioner and soap were from a well-known, high-quality British brand. Catalina at reception welcomed us warmly, gave us excellent information and happily arranged our requested upper-floor room. That was a lovely start. We want to thank Catalina, all the staff and the management team for taking such good care of the hotel.

We spent a week here in December and really enjoyed it. The street was quiet, but close to rail, the Underground, places to eat and the park. Our room was very clean, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom had a proper private door, unlike places that use glass doors. The service was excellent and we got great value. We'd definitely come back.

Across the several London hotels my brother and I tried, this one stood out. It's close to Hyde Park, a short walk from the station, and surrounded by restaurants and cafés. Tucked away from the main road, it was also shielded from traffic noise while still being near everything. Mary and Elsa from housekeeping were lovely, friendly, attentive and meticulous. Their care made a real difference, and housekeeping deserves recognition. Bulbul at reception was fantastic too, warm, professional and very helpful. He arranged a room upgrade for a very nominal fee, which made our stay more comfortable and enjoyable. The location, comfort and especially the staff made this hotel stand out from all the places we stayed in London. Highly recommended.
