The windows here make me uneasy, even with the cable meant to stop a fall from the higher floors. Some staff are rude and unnecessarily stubborn, particularly when you’ve left them a good review on an earlier stay. Thav and Ewelina the manager are polite, and among the cleaners Kelly is polite too; the others are completely miserable. The paid Wi-Fi policy has put me off choosing Travelodge. I have a monthly surf SIM, but I won’t pick Travelodge as quickly as I used to. There’s free Wi-Fi in the cafe, which isn’t very convenient for private chats with relatives abroad. This hotel does hold your luggage, unlike Kingston Central and Epsom Central Travelodges.
We spent a week here over New Year and chose a quiet room on the top floor. The view of Twickenham stadium and the surrounding area was great. For the price, the room was enough: clean, with a comfortable bed, tea and coffee, and a practical bathroom. The staff were lovely and always happy to help. We’d stay again if we were in the area.
Getting around London was easy from Travelodge Twickenham, with the train station nearby and taxis and other transport options accessible. The room was tidy, clean, and comfortable, which made for a relaxing stay. Thav and Sreekanth were especially friendly, professional, and helpful throughout. Their hospitality really made a difference. I had a very pleasant stay, would happily return, and would recommend the hotel.
Our room wasn’t in good shape. There was a big carpet stain, dirty walls, little black flies flying around, and a grubby-looking bathroom that didn’t seem properly maintained. The bed was uncomfortable too, so getting a good night’s sleep was hard. The room felt neglected and below what I expected. We’d booked a specific room about six months ahead, but were told on arrival it was no longer available. The staff did give us free breakfast, which I appreciated, but that didn’t make up for the condition of the room. I wouldn’t stay here again.
We stayed a week over New Year in room 907 on the quiet floor, level 9. It was a great room, clean and with a comfy bed and good-quality sheets and pillows. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I’d recommend it and would happily stay again.
