The staff were helpful, and the free breakfast came in handy while I was working a twilight shift. I’ve stayed here a few times over the years in the chalet-style room at the back. It was clean, with a good shower, and the fridge and microwave were useful extras. The facilities are a bit dated but in good condition and cleaned daily. This isn’t a Premier Inn in any shape or form. I’d recommend it for work stays more than for families.

I’m writing this from the room, sweating and really uncomfortable. It was so hot that my husband and I couldn’t sleep all night, even with the corner fan running full blast. There are only two small windows and one tiny latched window, so there wasn’t much relief. I also found chewed gum stuck under the edges of the bedside table, and there was no milk for tea or coffee. When my husband went downstairs to raise the issue, they said, “What do you expect from a £60 quid room that’s only a double?” I’m going to speak to the day staff, and I’m not leaving without getting part of the payment back.

I’m writing about my stay on the night in question. In the morning, I found bed bugs in the bed and around me, and I had multiple bites. It was distressing and uncomfortable, and completely unacceptable, especially after paying £140 for a couple of rooms. Bed bugs point to a serious failure in hygiene and maintenance. Please respond promptly with an apology and a full refund. I’d also like to know what immediate action you’ll take to prevent this happening to other guests. Please treat this urgently.

I had a very bad stay. The supervisor, Teja, came across as extremely unprofessional. I felt he favored people of his own nationality, Indian, and ignored complaints from others. A guest in the next room swore at me, and when I reported it, Teja did nothing. I also often felt bullied and excluded because staff spoke Hindi around me. Since I couldn’t understand what they were saying, it left me uncomfortable and depressed. Some staff took personal calls during work hours, too. When a maintenance worker came to fix my toilet, I politely asked how long it would take. He rudely told me to “shut up.” I don’t know his name, but he usually wears glasses and has a mustache. This behaviour is unacceptable in a place meant to offer comfort and hospitality. I hope management takes this seriously.
