I keep coming back here whenever I visit London. It’s close to Shoreditch Market, Brick Lane and the Tower, with two grocery stores just a few minutes away. The neighborhood feels residential and lived-in, probably helped by the nearby urban universities. I travel alone and have never felt uneasy, even walking back at night after a show, so don’t be put off by people calling it “sketchy.” The staff are great, and the rooms are comfortable and very clean, though small by American standards. The West End theaters and upscale shops take longer to reach by Tube, but the 115 bus stops practically outside and the Tube is a five-minute walk. I love staying here and say go ahead and book it.

Getting around was easy: Aldgate East is about five minutes away, Aldgate ten, and Whitechapel under fifteen. Tower Bridge is a pleasant walk of roughly twenty minutes. Even on a busy road, the blackout shutters kept out both light and noise. Nearby supermarkets made it easy to pick up anything we needed. The studio was spotless, and the kitchenette had what we needed for breakfast or a quick meal. Tea, coffee and a couple of little milk bottles were supplied. It isn’t cleaned during shorter stays, but staff were happy to bring fresh towels, dishwasher tablets or coffee pods when we asked, either at reception or by WhatsApp. We left our bags before check-in and again on our last day without any trouble. The guest laundry was handy, and they text you when the machine is ready. I wish washing powder had been available to buy. We didn’t try breakfast, but liked spending time in the bar. You can cast your own device to the TV for your streaming apps. The staff gave my daughter and me a lovely welcome. We also appreciated the laundry and luggage options.

We really enjoyed the city view from our room on the seventh floor, and the room itself was clean, comfortable and well cared for. The stay was very good overall, and I’d consider coming back. The problem was the toilet flush. It didn’t work properly, leaving us without a usable toilet for one night. We told the staff, but there were no other rooms available, so a move wasn’t possible. I hope issues like this can be fixed faster in future.

The staff made the stay for me. Everyone I spoke to was friendly, polite and did what they could to help. The room was smaller than I’m used to, but it had everything I needed. The bed was really comfortable, and I could happily have stayed in that shower longer. There are plenty of places nearby, including a really good ramen spot. I’ll be glad to stay here again next time I’m in London.

We were out most of the time, so the studio being a little tight for three people didn’t cause us much trouble. It was nice and well equipped, and we spent a week there this February 2026. Public transport is convenient, and the Tower of London is a short walk away. The staff were wonderful throughout, from reception to the people working on the floors. They were kind, helpful and ready whenever we needed something. Thank you! Maddalena, Mariella and Paola from Italy
