The price included a pre-order breakfast for the morning after, served in the pub. The rooms were clean and practical, with a comfortable bed and a large desk. There was also a very good coffee machine and a fridge, both nice touches, and the staff were really friendly.

I came with some co-workers and friends for a work-cation, and the internet was good enough for me to work from my room, even if it wasn't super fast. The place is quiet, with only six rooms, and I liked the little shortcut through the woods on the walk into the centre of Shepshed. The location worked perfectly for me. The owner and staff are incredibly nice. The food at the Horse is hard to beat, especially the breakfast for hotel guests. I had the best Sunday dinner of my 2.5 weeks overseas. I'll definitely stay again next time I'm in Shepshed.

A really good place to stop on the drive from Newcastle to Brighton, just five minutes off the motorway. The bed was super comfy, the room was clean and quiet, the shower was lovely and hot, and there was tea and coffee to choose from. I slept well. The accommodation is beside a pub, so food is available if you need it, though check the opening times. I loved the breakfast options, like eating out at a café. The owners were lovely, approachable and flexible.

The breakfast was AMAZING, and the pub itself was excellent with great staff. The room and facilities were great too, and it's just a 10 minute drive to Loughborough Uni. Highly recommended.

The rooms were excellent value, with underfloor heating, quality real wood furniture, an iron, pod coffee maker, 40” TV and a powerful shower. There was loads of parking, and both the evening meal and cooked breakfast were excellent. The breakfast was first class, and this is one of the best hotels I've stayed in for a long time. Amazing value for money. I'd highly recommend it.
