The meal was a real highlight, especially the venison and cheese board. We’ve stayed here before and this visit was just as pleasing. The rooms are a high standard, and the staff were warm, friendly, and happy to help. We’ll be back soon.

The setting was lovely, and the food was BEAUTIFUL. We visited for Valentine’s Day while spending a weekend in Ludlow. Everyone on staff was so attentive and willing to help. We’d definitely come back, thank you.

The peaceful location and nice accommodation were good, but breakfast was very disappointing for vegan and plant-based choices. It would help to list the vegan options clearly on the printed menu. Plant-based sausages and bacon, plus Flora spread and oat milk, would be good additions.

Breakfast was delicious, especially the perfectly poached eggs. We were on the top floor and had a nice view, and the room itself was pleasant with a comfy bed. I’d asked for a bath and got one, thank you! The only drawback was the cold: the bedroom and bathroom heating never came on. The woman downstairs at breakfast said it was meant to run on a timer. It’s an easy walk into Ludlow from this great location, though you do have to climb a hill 😊.

The bar was a pleasant place to sit, and the market square is an easy five minute walk away. We stayed for one night this week and had dinner and breakfast too. For £145, the three course meal and generous full English made for fantastic value. The room was OK, with a shower and a comfy bed. Only shame was that Monday’s races were cancelled.
