The owners were lovely, and his mum was lovely too. We stayed in a spacious twin room with its own bathroom, and the cooked breakfast was excellent. The cottage is a gorgeous, large 18th-century house with a thatched roof.

We had a lovely view over Lyme bay from our front room, and the location was great, with free parking and really good value. Check-in was easy and fuss-free. The room was fine, though the ensuite was a little small. Breakfast was really good, and the service was great. It's a beautiful old listed building.

The owners were wonderful and around during our stay. Breakfast was great, and it was an easy walk to the Cobb and the village proper. A lovely little old-fashioned seaside hotel.

We found it very convenient that the Jurassic Coaster stops a short distance from the hotel, and it accepts pensioner bus passes. There's good free parking on site as well. The hotel sits at the top of a hill, but that bus route runs through the town centre and past the hotel. My wife and I stayed four nights in June 2025. Our comfortable twin room had sea views, very comfortable beds, a TV, tea and coffee facilities, and a bathroom with a powerful shower over the bath. The staff were friendly and efficient, and breakfast was outstanding. It's a lovely period property with a thatched roof, built in the 18th century. Highly recommended.
