We could walk into town in about 10 minutes, with plenty of places to eat or get a drink. Nick was lovely to chat with and had good suggestions for places to visit and eat. Our stay started with a small mix-up over the room booked through Booking.com. The room we were shown was beautiful, but it didn't have the walk-in shower we thought we'd booked. Nick was gracious about it and contacted the company to amend the booking so we could have a room with one. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and there were two bedside tables with lamps. Tea, coffee, milk and sugar were provided, along with complimentary soap, shower gel and shampoo. Nick's breakfasts on both mornings were really filling, and there was a continental option too.

We'd happily come back. The location worked really well, with eateries and cafés a two-minute walk away, trails in the New Forest nearby, and a small parking area on site. Nick made us feel at home as soon as we arrived, and was genuinely welcoming. The room was spotless, had the modern comforts we wanted, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast was generous, delicious and beautifully done. A wonderful stay from beginning to end.

We only stayed one night at Avalon House, but I'd recommend it without hesitation. The room was clean, the location was ideal for walking into downtown Brockenhurst, and the host was friendly and ready to help.

After a day cycling the Heb way, this was a lovely place to stop for the night. The host did everything they could to help us. We arrived to cake, and the rooms had a superb range of facilities, even hair straighteners. The beds were comfortable with good quality bedding, and the bathroom was lovely. Breakfast came with a stunning view over the water and was excellent. A fantastic B and B, highly recommend it.

A great base for exploring all the New Forest. Judith and Nick gave us a lovely welcome. The place was very clean and nicely decorated, and our room had everything we needed. We also really enjoyed the vegetarian breakfasts we requested.
