Bev and Lorraine were fabulous in the Talbot Suite and went above and beyond to look after us. We can't praise the Clifton Arms and staff enough for managing Mum's funeral celebration last Friday. Everyone remarked on the excellent food and service, and our dietary requests were easily accommodated. I'd highly recommend it for any occasion.

Breakfast had a huge choice and the food was delicious, though the coffee was a little watery. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a good bathroom, comfy bed, nice desk and sitting area, and big windows. The staff were lovely, especially the efficient and caring breakfast team, and the bar is stylish. Good value for money. I'd definitely stay again.

We found out two weeks before the wedding that we had a new wedding coordinator, which was worrying, but meeting Kathryn put us at ease. She explains things clearly, and nothing is too much trouble. Kathryn and Jill are flawless, an incredible asset to the team. Everyone looking after us was amazing, from Lily sorting our guests' accommodation with ease to Bev in the restaurant, who looked after us the morning of the wedding and the day after. Bev even gave me motherly advice, along with exceptional customer service. The whole team was always available, even for someone like me with 1001 questions. The Clifton Arms gave our wedding a lovely family atmosphere, and I'd highly recommend it as a venue.

We stayed two nights over NYE and had fabulous entertainment, delicious food and a gorgeous hotel. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, and it felt like being with good friends. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks to everyone there for a fabulous NY. We're definitely planning to return very soon. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The food was delicious, hot and plentiful. I chose hotpot and lasagne with salads and other accompaniments, followed by cheese and biscuits. My guests loved it, and most went back for more. The Clifton Arms team made my special birthday party in the Talbot Suite wonderful. Claudia and Lily were helpful, professional and friendly at every step, and made our intimate gathering feel just as important as a large wedding. On the night, Lily, Bernard and a lovely lady whose name escapes me looked after us so well. They were consummate professionals, lovely with my guests, and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks so much for making the evening special. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the team.
