Stock Exchange Hotel

Breakfast was really good, with delicious choices beyond the standard British menu, and the dining room decor is breathtaking. The rooms were clean and well looked after, with Jo Malone toiletries. The beds and pillows are on the firm side but still very comfortable. A pillow menu would be a nice extra. The welcome was efficient and warm, with a service team who made us feel that nothing was too much trouble. The recently renovated building is opulent, and the location is unbelievably good, just minutes from the main shopping areas. Driving there, Waze took us through narrow streets and 20mph zones right to the door. You do pull up on double yellows, but the team are on it as soon as you arrive. Book parking in advance if you're coming by car. This was our first proper trip to Manchester, and we'll have to find more reasons to come back. Well done to everyone.

The suites are really spacious, and the location is excellent with friendly staff. It's a bit more expensive than a comparable hotel in London. There aren't many dine in choices, but what they do offer is simply DELICIOUS. I'd suggest management revisit the cuisine options.

The personal touch is what sets this place apart. The food, location and rooms were all amazing, but the people are the reason this is probably the best place we've ever stayed, and we stay everywhere. We're at the Savoy as I write this, and it's exceptional, but still doesn't quite match the stock exchange.

The team are what make this hotel special. Everyone is incredibly kind, helpful and funny. We love having breakfast with Sid and Mario, and Nigel's glass of champagne when we arrive is always appreciated. The rooms and location are great too.
