The Midland Manchester - A Leonardo Royal Hotel

The staff were all lovely, and my treatment was excellent. But the spa was disappointing, with so many people in what’s really quite a small space. Groups talking loudly on speakerphone in the “relaxation” room completely killed the vibe. The changing rooms had no products and felt more like gym changing rooms than a luxury experience. I’d saved up for the Spa package for my birthday, so it was an extravagant treat. Maybe I missed it, but I didn’t know the included meals came from a shorter select menu, didn’t include drinks, and couldn’t be eaten in my room. There was a very large event in the bar, the only dining space available during my stay, and it was incredibly noisy. The atmosphere was unpleasant, though the food and service were excellent. Adding up the package cost, I felt it was overpriced. It’s a wonderful hotel with excellent staff, just a shame it didn’t feel as special as I’d hoped.

The personal touches made our one-night stay at The Midland feel special. Julian was especially warm, kind and attentive, and made us feel genuinely cared for. We left very happy and would absolutely love to return. From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming and relaxed, and the hotel itself is beautiful.

The location is great, and everyone working there made us feel welcome. The hotel itself is beautiful, with nice rooms, bars and restaurants, though our room didn't have a bath. We’d happily stay there again in Manchester. The French restaurant was fabulous, so make time for it. The bar lounge fills up at weekends, so get there early if you want a seat.

The spa treatment and massage were amazing, and the staff were all lovely. I didn't see the rooms, but I had something to eat and enjoyed the relaxation room too. I never used to like tea, but their raspberry and cranberry tea changed my mind. Great location. 10 out of 10, and I'll definitely go back.
