The rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the food too. I couldn’t sleep because of the noise from the bar across the road, though, and the place also seems more geared to an older crowd.

We stopped in for a meal with friends before a film show at the playhouse. The food was hearty, with a good range of dishes, including some that were new to me. Prices weren’t bad either. Well worth a visit, and I’ll definitely return.

We stay here for two nights, bed and breakfast, when we travel up for work. It’s a lovely hotel for a very reasonable price, with spacious, clean rooms and friendly staff who are happy to help with requests. Housekeeping brought extra teabags and milk to the room, and the reception team were helpful too. The food is amazing. The kitchen deserves credit for breakfast and for the evening restaurant, which is also open to the public. The lady serving breakfast always has a smile. We highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back.

We booked dinner here for Saturday, just my husband and me. I had the chicken maryland, which was delicious and one I’d recommend. My husband enjoyed his steak pie as well. We haven’t stayed at the hotel, so I can’t comment on the rooms. It was our first time eating here, and we’ll definitely come back to try other things on the menu. Thanks again.
