The staff were so friendly, the modern rooms were lovely, and we really enjoyed the evening meals. Monday's breakfast was cooked to order and lovely too. At the weekend, though, the buffet was disappointing for a four-star hotel: the bacon and potato scones were brick hard, while the mushrooms and eggs were cold or barely warm. I think the buffet breakfast should be scrapped.

We had such a lovely New Year visit. The food was wow, our room felt comfy and cosy, and the staff went above and beyond. I'll definitely come back.

A really nice stay overall, with a clean room, friendly staff, and good service and breakfast. The fish and chips at dinner were a letdown, though. Some of the chips were nearly hard enough to break my teeth on, and I've had better in a pub. Irene was fantastic.

The room was warm enough, but the carpets and seats had stains, and the rooms feel dated and well used. There was no drinking water in the room. The restaurant was closed Sunday and Monday, and there are no EV charging points in the car park.

Breakfast had plenty of choice and was fresh and tasty. My room was spotless, comfortable, and had a lovely view, and the staff made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived. Everything went smoothly during my one-night stay. I'd happily return to The Links Hotel and recommend it to anyone visiting Montrose.
