The bus stop right outside made getting to Princes Street easy, under 40 minutes and no changes. We also had a great view of the racecourse and the world’s oldest continuously played golf course, with people out playing even in the rain. Musselburgh town centre was lovely to explore for a taste of Scottish small-town life. We stayed as a family and were very comfortable. The place was spacious and well cared for, and breakfast was excellent. The decor isn’t especially modern, but everything was in great condition. We found parking nearby without a problem. We’d happily come back.

Our train from London was massively delayed, so we arrived very late. Alice and Kevin arranged to collect us from the station, which was really kind. They were friendly, the room was comfortable, and breakfast was brought to our door. A really good place to stay.

We used the dining room, which looks over the racecourse, for board games and a cup of tea in the evenings. It was peaceful, and we didn’t hear a sound inside or outside overnight. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a kettle and TV. The house is well placed, with views over Musselburgh race and golf courses. The landlady was lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. My friends and I had a great two night stay, and would recommend it. We’ll probably return.

Facing Musselburgh racecourse, this is a lovely place to stay and return to. The service was warm, and breakfast was delivered to the room. Alice is such a friendly, helpful host, and her dog is wonderful. The room was very comfortable.

Our large room had several beds and an amazing view. Breakfast was great, and the shops are very close. If you like walking, the train station is about 30 minutes away, or you can catch a bus down the street. The place was spotless and tidy, and Alice was an amazing host who made us feel at home. Best place to stay in musselburgh.
