The smiling, welcoming staff make it a pleasure to visit. We enjoyed it so much that we've booked a table for Friday evening to hear the live music. The Alpine bar is a great addition, and so is its menu. We popped in yesterday after spotting the sandwiches, and the Christmas club sandwich was absolutely delicious. It had turkey, melted brie, cranberry sauce, stuffing and a pig in a blanket, and felt like excellent value. Cliff house, please consider keeping some sandwiches on the menu once the Alpine bar closes. We had a great visit and are looking forward to coming back tomorrow for food and live music.

People praise the comfortable rooms, lovely garden and great value here. They also mention friendly, attentive staff and wonderful views of the Isle of Wight. The Sunday roast, hake and sea bream are said to be delicious, with a selection of local real ales too.

The service was exceptional, with a personal touch, and the food was great. We couldn't get the chateaubriand because it was sold out, so we'll have to return to try it. I had the pretzel beef burger, with a perfect bun and burger, my son had perfectly cooked sirloin steak, and my wife chose fish gumbo. She has a sweet tooth and said her dessert was the best she'd ever had, quite a compliment from her. The by-the-glass wine selection was reasonable. Even in very heavy rain, the sea views were excellent. The restaurant and bar are lovely, with just the right lighting. Driving down the residential road, we wondered if we'd taken a wrong turn 😂, but the place looked fantastic when we arrived. If you're in the area, it's a must visit. We'd go back without a doubt 😁.

I had a lovely solo lunch and wasn't rushed at all. The staff made me feel so welcome, and I had a wonderful window table overlooking the sea, with the Needles in the distance. The fish and chips were delicious. It felt like a little slice of heaven, and I plan to return. Thank you!

My husband and I booked a last-minute stay at “The Cliff House” in New Milton and really enjoyed it. Jordon, Mazie and their team made us feel welcome and shared helpful tips on places to visit and things to do. We had a lovely dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, with fab views of the sea, the Isle of White and the sunset. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, with complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits, water, shower gel and shampoo, plus plenty of free parking. Thanks again, and we hope to come back soon. J & S
