M&S next door made it easy to pick up food, and parking was straightforward. The room was spotless and spacious, with a bath, and the staff welcomed us with a smile and gave excellent service. We only wished there were a couple of glasses or paper cups for our wine instead of having to use a coffee mug. Even with that small gripe, we'd come back. One of the better Travelodge hotels, and handy as a stop on the way to Southampton.

The room was immaculate and had everything I needed. I chose this place for a stopover instead of carrying on home, and what a surprise. The only thing that didn't make sense was being given a room directly opposite the stair entrance, with people coming through the door. I asked why, and was moved to one at the end, though I could still hear the door and people from there. Otherwise, five stars. Thank you, Travelodge.

The staff were really helpful and easy to talk to. The rooms are spacious and the hotel is extremely clean. It was a little noisy because of where it is, but that wasn't a deal breaker. The bath is higher than average, so proper bath mats would help prevent slipping.

We arrived very late but parking and getting into the room were both easy. It was a comfortable room, with a good bed and a very clean, well-appointed bathroom. Staff were friendly and polite, and checkout was just a key drop. We were travelling from Liverpool to Southampton and needed a night on the way; Newbury Travelodge was in a good spot, just a quick turn off the main road.

A friendly receptionist and a clean, roomy, comfortable no-frills room made this a good overnight stop. The odd part was that there wasn't an easy way to walk from the hotel to the other services.
