A hidden gem, with a lovely restaurant, fantastic decor, and a perfect location. The Sunday lunch was absolutely fantastic. The beef melted in your mouth, and my wife’s chicken was perfect too. The vegetables were done just right, steamed and oven roasted, and you could choose beef or chicken gravy. There was so much food they even gave us a doggy bag, which my staffy absolutely loved. Excellent service.

We started our 25th wedding anniversary holiday here, and all the staff looked after us so well. David checked us in, and the room, with two baths, and the food in the bistro were all fantastic. My wife had booked it as a surprise. Thanks to everyone at the Hotel Du Vin in Newcastle. X

Dinner, cocktails, bed, and breakfast were all fantastic. Simon looked after pretty much every part of our stay and was brilliant. Absolutely superb. If I’m in Newcastle again, I’ll look here before anywhere else.

Our wedding day was incredible, and the staff took care of everything so we could relax and enjoy it. Shauna was there coordinating on the day, and Aaron made sure everything we’d asked for was sorted. My mother used to coordinate weddings and events, so we know how good the service at Hotel du Vin was. She was able to relax all day too, and trusted the staff completely after our pre-wedding meetings. Shauna had been by our side from the moment we booked, advising us and helping plan our perfect day. We stayed the night before as well, and had an excellent evening with amazing staff. We can’t recommend the venue enough.

The room was clean, tidy, cool, and really comfortable, with everything we needed for a short stay. The lounge and bar were nice, and the staff were mostly friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Service was good. It worked well for us, though it isn’t right in the centre. It’s a fairly short walk into town or to a cafe, which you may need because I thought breakfast was quite steep. Unless I missed it, the hotel didn’t have facilities like a gym or spa, so look elsewhere if those matter to you. I’d go back.
