Novotel Newcastle Airport

We paid £56 for a Saturday night, which was fantastic value. The hotel is in a handy spot, with a retail park next door, including a large Tesco and an M&S food hall, and a Toby Carvery across the car park. There’s plenty of parking on site, and it’s about a 10-minute drive into Newcastle centre. This was our first stay here. We usually use the various Premier Inns around Newcastle to visit friends and family, but Premier Inn seems to have kept the prices and lost the rest. This hotel looks freshly refurbished, clean, and spacious in the public areas. Our room was tidy, the bed very comfortable, and an iron and ironing board were included. It was handy having the WC separate from the shower room. There was some noise at times from travellers heading to the airport, but it wasn’t really a problem. We didn’t eat here, so can’t comment on the food. Everyone we saw on staff was friendly and welcoming.

We had a great three-night stay at the end of Feb 26. The buffet breakfast had lots of variety, and the restaurant had good options for evening meals. Staff were all very friendly and professional, and there’s loads of free parking. The Metro station is a 10-minute walk away, with direct rides into town or out to the coast. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

My room had more than I could have asked for. There was a double bed and sofa, plus a separate toilet and a bathroom with a bath, shower, and lovely mirror. Everything was clean, and I was on the third floor. The hotel is in a beautiful location, with spacious, clean interiors. Staff were professional and helpful. I’d recommend it.

We’ve already booked another stay in June, since this hotel is a perfect base for our regular trips to visit family in Newcastle. The location suits us well, right by Kenton Bar shopping park and a Toby Carvery, with easy motorway access for the drive home. We’d visited the bar for Boxing Day drinks with family in December, then booked a room on a whim. I used to work for the Accor group, so I trust the brand. The staff were great. Thanks to the gentleman who put us in a quiet room, which we’ve kindly requested again for next time, and to the other gentleman who kept our bags after checkout. Looking forward to coming back :) We stayed from 06/02/26 - 08/02/2026.
