The free parking was handy, just remember to give them your registration when you check in. For the room rate, the grab n go breakfast was nice, and the hotel itself was good for the price.

Being close to the town centre was the one real plus. We arrived with a group booking where rooms were meant to be shared, but ours had one double bed and a pull-out sofa. The sofa bed was dirty, had a flimsy mattress and no bedding. When I asked for bedding, I was told it would cost £20 extra. The rooms looked nothing like the photos, and some staff were seriously lacking in hospitality. The morning staff member was friendly, though.

The breakfast to take away was tasty and handy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our superior room was cosy and clean, with a comfortable bed. The furniture is a little dated, but it still works fine. A good budget stay.

We stayed four nights and would choose this hotel again if we return. It’s an easy walk to the town centre, and the rooms are clean and roomy enough for the price. It’s no Ritz, of course. The included breakfast bag was a decent start to the day: ours had an apple, croissant, nut and seed bar, yoghurt and fruit juice. Very reasonably priced.
